turtle

I can't forget to post the turtle that Ben and Max found and Grandma and Grandpa's house. Jeremy seemed to enjoy the turtle too!

Cousin Jenni

My cousin Jenni came to visit from Connecticut this past week to visit her dad and step mom in Land O Lakes. We spent a week almost every summer at my grandparents' lake while growing up. It was nice to catch up with her again. Jenni, Uncle Dave, Aunt Marla

Maddie Fishing

Maddie reeled in her first fish this summer. She absolutely loves to fish. She casted out so hard one time she fell into the lake! She puts her whole heart and soul (and body) into it!

World Record Frog?

Every day Ben and Max love to go frog hunting up north in Park Falls. This past week was no exception... Ben caught, in my opinion, the biggest frog I have ever seen alive. It looked like a small rodent. In one day he caught 9 frogs. Max wasn't as comfortable holding the frogs as Ben was.
I love Max's face in this picture!

Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

Happy Birthday to my dad who celebrated his 63rd birthday on July 19th. I'm so glad we had the chance to make it up to help him celebrate his special day. He is not only a great dad, but a wonderful grandpa. The kids adore, respect, and admire him. The best part of his birthday was singing "Happy Birthday" and blowing out the candles. He gave each of the grandkids one chance to blow out the candles. Max and Maddie both failed, but tropical storm Ben came gushing through and blew them out with one hearty blow.

Pee Wee Baseball Tourny

Ben's Pee Wee baseball team had a tournament this week. They went 4-1 to take the Consolation Championship game. Ben played really well driving in some key runs. We were very proud of him.

The team all got a medal for winning the Consolation game. Ben was so excited to put that medal around his neck. The coach even had an extra medal that he gave to Max. We told Max it is his medal for always turning up for every game and cheering on his big brother. We also are very proud of him! (Ben is middle row standing 4th from the left)

circus

Jeremy took the kids to see the circus Saturday. Ben got picked to help spin the frisbee. I hope this isn't Ben's future vocation! Max and Maddie both cried when the clowns came out and Jeremy had to take them out of the tent when the clowns came back. That night Max had a really bad nightmare. I'm assuming it had to do with a clown! :)

Brewer Game with Friends

We went to a Brewer game with the Newlyweds! The Brewers didn't play well, but it was nice hanging out with Ryan and Sandy. It was a beautiful day. You have probably noticed I do not have any Brewer gear on. My polyester jersey was making me sweat so I had to take it off. I need to invest in a t-shirt!

Ben baseball

Ben's last night of baseball was yesterday. He did an awesome job for only being 8! He had a couple of nice hits and played shortstop like a pro. I'm so proud of our big guy! I wish I would have gotten his face a little better! Next sport...football. Jeremy can't wait!

Girls Night Boulder Lake

Every summer the girls drive up to Boulder Lake to our friend Carrie's trailer. It is a beautiful lake. We had a lot of good belly laughs. Thanks girls!

Painted Toes

I painted Maddie's toenails for the first time. It is so different having a girl in the house to do girlie things with. She saw me painting my toes and she kept saying.."me paint, me paint" so I couldn't resist.

Lake 2009

My sister and her family came home from Florida to spend time with us at my parents' house on Schnur's Lake. The cousins LOVE playing together! All the kids adore their Grandma and Grandpa. They are such lucky kids to have these two wonderful people in their lives.

Kailey and Ben ready for some tubing!

Ben and Kailey even tried to water ski without much luck. Kailey came really close...maybe next summer!

Max and Lauren ready for the waves!

Maddie wanted to go in the motorboat with Grandpa while the other kids tubed. I wouldn't let her go so she jumped in her own boat and started to head out to sea to catch up with Grandpa!

Grandpa eating at the kids table.

The cousin monkey pile. Bye, Kailey and Lauren! Hope to see you at Christmas!
